One of the last naturally pristine and beautiful areas of the state, it is scheduled to be flooded to create a large reservoir. Lewis and his crew of buddies from the city set off to enjoy a canoe trip on the river before it disappears. Their city-dwelling reality gets a violent wake-up call when they face both nature and violent, unwelcoming local hillbillies. The struggle to survive pushes them beyond what they thought they were capable of doing.
